On Monday, March 15th, 2010 we picked up Elvis. He's a black lab in desperate need of socialization. When I picked him up he was very scared and would not walk with me. He did, however, manage to pee on my shoes and poo-poo on himself...ah...yes...now I remember fostering...it's all clear to me now...
Anyway, I feared for the upholstery in the back seat of my car on the way home, but he was a good boy. Still, we went directly to the back yard before entering the house! He was still very scared and would not come to me; I decided it was time to introduce him to The Big C - Chatka - his foster sister. Well, his tail started to wag and in no time at all they were both running around the backyard having doggie playtime.
Chatka is still a sweet and wonderful foster sister/mother, but she was less enthusiastic about having a puppy gnaw on her back legs, jump on her head and nip at her lips. It has been five years since our last foster dog afterall; I forget Chatka is getting old too. However, I'm sure Chatka would still enjoy nibbling on kittens.
Elvis, on the right
Elvis and Chatka all slimed up
He's still a little shy around us humans, but I think Elvis is going to be just fine in a few weeks.
Okay, we had the little guy a little longer than I thought we would. He returned to the WHS on April 14th, 2010 and is ready to find his forever home. He's a sweet boy...have a good life Elvis!
